Lord’s own servant’, Tinubu salutes Adeboye at 84

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, on the occasion of his 84th birthday, describing him as one of Nigeria’s greatest gifts and a steadfast spiritual pillar for the nation.

In a statement issued on Sunday to mark the cleric’s birthday, Tinubu praised Adeboye’s decades of spiritual leadership, humility and national service, noting that his influence extends far beyond the pulpit.

The President described the revered cleric, fondly known as “Daddy G.O.,” as a “spiritual fortress” who has continually interceded for Nigeria and its people. He commended Adeboye’s contributions in philanthropy, healthcare, education and economic empowerment, highlighting his impact across generations and borders.

Tinubu said the grace of stewardship and leadership evident in the life of the octogenarian has shaped and transformed countless lives over the past five decades.

He also expressed appreciation for Adeboye’s unceasing prayers for the country and lauded his patriotic zeal and commitment to Nigeria’s progress.

The President congratulated the cleric’s wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, members of the RCCG and the wider Christian community, urging them to give thanks to God for what he described as the General Overseer’s exceptional life of impact.

“As Daddy G.O. celebrates this special day, we pray that God Almighty continues to bless him with good health and strength as he carries on his work in the Lord’s vineyard,” the statement read.
