Oluwo applauds Reps member for ICT centre, empowerment initiatives

The Oluwo of Iwoland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Abdul-Rasheed Akanbi, has commended the member representing Ayedire/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency, Hon. Mudasiru Lukman, describing him as an uncommon representative whose performance continues to attract widespread admiration across the region.

The revered monarch made this known on two separate occasions during the official commissioning of a modern ICT Centre facilitated by the lawmaker at the Federal College of Education, Iwo, and at a mega empowerment programme where several vehicles were distributed to constituents, including a car presented to the Chief Imam of Iwo.

Speaking at the events, the Oluwo applauded Hon. Lukman, popularly known as L&K, for his consistent recognition and inclusion of traditional institutions, noting that such respect for royal authorities had been largely neglected by previous representatives.

The monarch stated that the current representative has demonstrated an uncommon commitment to inclusive leadership by constantly engaging traditional rulers and involving them in grassroots developmental initiatives.

Oba Akanbi described the lawmaker as a golden son of Iwoland, pointing out that in less than two years in office, the representative has invited traditional rulers more than six times to various empowerment programmes and community initiatives.

The royal father further noted that this approach to representation reflects humility, accessibility, and a deep understanding of the importance of synergy between political leadership and traditional institutions in driving grassroots development.

He added that the new ICT Centre at the Federal College of Education would enhance digital learning opportunities for students and strengthen educational advancement in the constituency, while the direct empowerment initiatives would provide vital economic relief and support to the beneficiaries.
