The City Boy Movement (CBM), a political support group founded by Seyi Tinubu and aligned with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has formally confirmed the appointment of Suleiman Abubakar Magaji as its North-Central Zonal Youth Coordinator.
The development is seen as part of the Movement’s broader consolidation strategy ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a letter dated February 20, 2026, the group expressed confidence in Magaji’s ability to strengthen youth engagement structures across the North Central geopolitical zone, comprising Niger, Kogi, Kwara, Benue, Plateau, Nasarawa states, and the Federal Capital Territory.
The appointment comes amid growing national conversations around youth inclusion and leadership representation in Nigeria’s political space.
As North Central Zonal Youth Coordinator, Magaji is expected to spearhead youth-driven initiatives aimed at deepening political awareness, reinforcing civic responsibility, and enhancing coordinated participation in democratic processes across the region.
The role is positioned as a strategic response to concerns over the underrepresentation of young people in leadership and decision-making spaces. It is designed to institutionalise structured engagement and grassroots mobilisation to advance meaningful youth inclusion within the political landscape.
Within the framework of the City Boy Movement and the Tinubu 2027 initiative, Magaji’s leadership is anticipated to align youth structures in the North Central with broader national political objectives, strengthening participation at both grassroots and strategic levels.
Beyond his political involvement, Magaji is an entrepreneur and founder of Samfort, a tech-driven logistics and online marketplace platform. He previously served as Director of Treasury and Accounts for the Bago Yakubu Campaign Council, playing a role in the campaign that led to the emergence of Umaru Mohammed Bago as Governor of Niger State.
Observers say his background in enterprise development and campaign coordination could facilitate a more structured and results-oriented youth mobilisation framework across the zone.
With 2027 drawing closer, attention is shifting to how regional youth structures will evolve in preparation for the next electoral cycle. Indications from within the Movement suggest that the North Central desk is planning a series of coordinated engagements and strategic initiatives that may influence youth political participation in the months ahead.
