The High Court of Lagos has granted an interim injunction restraining alleged trespassers from interfering with the land belonging to Winhomes Estate Global Services Ltd at Okun-Ajah in Lagos.
Reacting, Chief Executive Officer of the company, Stella Ifeoma Okengwu, said the Court order protects the estate land measuring approximately 18.838 hectares located at Okun-Ajah in Eti-Osa Local Government Area.
According to the document obtained by journalists on Monday, the order restrains the named respondents and anyone acting on their behalf from trespassing on or interfering with the disputed property while the case remains before the Court.
The injunction recognises that the land is currently under dispute and directs that no party should tamper with it until the legal process is concluded.
The Winhomes boss described the ruling as a significant legal step toward safeguarding the estate and protecting the investments of subscribers.
She commended subscribers who have remained patient and supportive throughout the legal process, noting that their cooperation had strengthened the company’s position in the dispute.
The CEO also warned that any attempt to sabotage the legal process would undermine the collective effort to resolve the matter, stressing that the law would take its course against anyone acting contrary to the interest of the estate.
Okengwu further assured investors that the company remains committed to protecting all subscribers, including those directly affected and other investors.
She added that once the dispute is fully resolved, the estate would be redesigned and properly structured to ensure that every investor’s interest is secured.
According to her, the struggle to protect the estate goes beyond land ownership and reflects the need to safeguard the rights and investments of both diaspora and local investors who bought into the project.
