The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State has finalised arrangements to formally receive Governor Dauda Lawal and his deputy, who recently defected from the PDP to the APC.
The defecting Governor and his deputy will be officially received by Vice President Kashim Shettima and the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, in the state.
This was disclosed on Saturday in Gusau by the Zamfara State APC Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Umar Danfulani, during an executives and stakeholders meeting.
Alhaji Tukur Danfulani further stated that all local government APC chairmen and their executives were directed to hold similar meetings at the local government level to inform their supporters about the development.
He urged supporters to remain calm, supportive, loyal, law-abiding, and to display brotherhood throughout the ceremony.
